Do you know that PCOS increases the risk of heart disease and diabetes?
Yes, let’s talk about it.
Polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS, is a metabolic disorder of young women.
While we consider it a sex hormone issue, it’s actually a metabolic issue and PCOS starts in the hypothalamus. Women with PCOS have increased inflammatory markers, increased androgen, low levels of progesterone, and estrogen dominance.
Research shows that women with PCOS are at high risk for insulin resistance, diabetes and can develop heart disease.
Luckily, polycystic ovary syndrome can be mitigated.
Treating the insulin resistance and balancing the hormones, especially at the hypothalamic level can help to mitigate the PCOS symptoms and reduce the risk for developing metabolic disorders, including heart disease and diabetes.
My polycystic ovary syndrome patients support their hypothalamus with Genesis Gold® and become more sensitive to insulin, lose body fat, lower androgens, and get their hormones in better balance. They eventually start ovulating again and producing progesterone, which lowers their estrogen dominance and helps to lower the amount of androgens they’re producing.
Supporting their hypothalamus with Genesis Gold® helps decrease inflammatory markers, decreases the risk of developing diabetes and cardiovascular disease from polycystic ovary syndrome.
Of course, Genesis Gold® alone isn’t enough if they have a poor diet, they’re not active, and are highly stressed. So be sure to support your hypothalamus nutraceutically with Genesis Gold®, and consume a healthy diet, exercise regularly, get enough sleep, and practice stress reduction techniques.
