7 Signs of Low Testosterone in Men and What You Can Do About It

If your sex drive has dropped and you don’t feel as strong or driven as you used to, this is for you. I’m going to show you seven signs of low testosterone and what you can do about it.

One symptom by itself doesn’t mean your testosterone is low. But if several of these are happening together, it’s worth paying attention.

#1: Your Sex Drive Has Dropped

Testosterone plays a key role in male libido, so a noticeable loss of interest can be one of the first signs.

#2: You’re Having Fewer Morning Erections

Testosterone normally rises in the early morning hours. Fewer morning erections can point to lower testosterone, though circulation and sleep matter too.

#3: You’re Losing Muscle

Testosterone helps maintain muscle mass and strength.

#4: You’re Gaining More Body Fat

Lower testosterone is associated with losing lean muscle while gaining body fat.

#5: You’ve Lost Some of Your Drive

Testosterone influences motivation, not just sexual function.

#6: You’re Having Fertility Problems

Low testosterone can reduce fertility and sperm production.

#7: You’re Getting Hot Flashes

Less discussed in men, but they can occur with low testosterone.

Why Does Testosterone Fall?

Your brain is part of the process.

Testosterone production is controlled by the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis — your hypothalamus releases GnRH, which signals your pituitary to release LH and FSH, which then signal your testes to produce testosterone. When this axis is disrupted, testosterone production drops regardless of how healthy your testes are. High prolactin, for example, can suppress this axis directly at the hypothalamic level. Lifestyle factors — lack of exercise, chronic stress, poor diet, insulin resistance, and endocrine-disrupting chemicals — can all interfere with this same signaling chain.

What Can You Do?

Get evaluated instead of guessing from symptoms alone — your provider may look at testosterone along with LH, FSH, prolactin, and thyroid function.

Then work on the basics:

  • Exercise regularly
  • Maintain muscle
  • Eat mostly whole foods
  • Protect your sleep
  • Manage chronic stress

But even with the basics in place, if the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis itself is disrupted, testosterone production stays suboptimal. That’s why Genesis Gold® is formulated to help optimize that axis — supporting both testosterone production and cellular receptivity to testosterone, so the testosterone you do make can actually do its job. Men typically notice this show up as increased motivation, drive, libido, and strength. Learn more in the description.

If you want to understand how your hypothalamus, pituitary, and testosterone all work together, and how Genesis Gold® can help support that axis, that’s what I teach in my Free Hormone Reboot Training.
