How to Improve Gut Health Naturally

If you are wondering how to improve your immune system by helping your gut, I wrote this article with you in mind. We are going to talk about how you can actually improve your immunity if you improve your gut health naturally. Now, you might be wondering, what does the gut and immune system have to do with hormones?

Remember, your hormones are not just the big hormones that we are more familiar with. Hormones like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone. But your immune system produces tiny hormones called cytokines. Those cytokines are little tiny endocrine messengers that tell the immune system what to do. And that immune system is affected by your hormone production as well as by your gut count.

Let me explain how you can improve your gut health naturally.

So this is a diagram of your intestine, your large intestine, and your small intestine. The wall of your intestine is semi-permeable.

It is a trans-permeable membrane that allows water in and out so that your stool can be formed properly. Too much water, you have diarrhea, too little water in there, you are constipated. So it is this membrane that allows that water to move in and out.

If that membrane is damaged, it is going to allow the waste products in your stool to be released into the bloodstream. This includes the molecules you did not digest and the bits of protein, fats, and different chemicals. Along with water. These are called antigens. They are something that is foreign to your body, therefore, your body will go after it.

In fact, your thymus, which is around where your heart is, controls your immune system. Its control of your immune system creates and programs those T-cells to go after others and not you. Oftentimes, the thymus gets incredibly dysregulated when you have all of these antigens floating around in your bloodstream. It will aggravate your T-cells, and then your T-cells are constantly fighting off these invaders that should not be there.

When you improve your gut health naturally, it will help to prevent this hyper-immune response.

What does that response look like? What do you feel in your body when you have that hyperimmune response? You can get runny noses and itchy eyes. It almost looks like allergies. You can get rashes on your skin and you can break out in acne. You will also definitely have a feeling of inflammation in your body. Achiness in your joints and your bones, achiness in your muscles. You will have headaches and feel toxic. That is that immune system because you have so many toxins floating around overworking. Sometimes you will even have fevers that kind of come and go, as your white blood cells are revving up to fight them off..

So, we have got to heal up your gut in order to prevent this strong immune reaction. If it keeps going on, you will start to see other issues with autoimmunity. This means your body, your immune system, is going to attack you. It is going to over-attack. It is kind of like the T-cells are out there, they are soldiers. They are only supposed to guard us at night, which is when they are supposed to work. But, during the daytime, when these antigens are around, they actually have to do their job during the daytime. That makes them innocent bystanders to T-Cells’ violence. Your cells, your tissues, are also getting damaged by this immune reaction.

So what are you going to do about it?

Hormone Healing Tip 1: Heal your Gut Lining

You need to heal up the gut lining. How do you do that? There are a couple of different things that you can do. First of all, glutamine, which is an amino acid, is actually really, really good to actually help to heal up that lining. Some people are a little sensitive to glutamine, so they can use things like collagen, collagen peptides, collagen protein as found in bone broth to heal up the lining of the gut to start to seal it. It is incredibly important that you heal the lining up first, and that will allow that inflammation to go down, and those, that holy leaky gut allowing all of those antigens through to actually start to seal up and only allow the water to go back and forth.

Hormone Healing Tip 2: Recolonize Your Normal Gut Flora

You need to recolonize your intestine with normal flora. Now, sometimes just by healing up your gut, your normal flora will start to reproduce, and but oftentimes, you need to take in some extra probiotics if you have been having some issues with leaky gut and these immune system reactions. Probiotics come in lots of different sources, lots of different forms. You’re mainly looking at the lactobacillus forms and the bifidus forms, but you need many different species and billions and billions of cultures.

Another way to get this is in naturally fermented foods that naturally have those probiotics in it. Things like yogurt, things like kimchi, things like even pickled vegetables and sauces that are not processed will have those natural floras in there, kombucha. Anything that has that natural flora will help to build up your normal flora, and that is a good thing, because once you build the lining up, those bacteria, those beneficial bacteria need someplace to be and they can not, they will actually start to grow and multiply and protect you against any kind of infection or invasion, and actually help to trigger your immune system to do a better job at protecting you.

Hormone Healing Tip 3: Reprogram your Immunity by Balancing your Hypothalamus

You need to reprogram your immune system. Now, what does that mean? After you have been hyper-sensitized by all of these antigens that are coming through your sick gut, once you heal up the gut, you still have blood cells, particularly T-cells, those white blood cells going after things that are stilled in that hyperreactive mode.

Why? Because they were programmed when they were baby blood cells by the thymus. They live for six to eight weeks, sometimes up to 12 weeks. And so the system cyclically loses that programming, so you need to reprogram your thymus, and you need to allow those white blood cells to go through their lifespan, pass away, and new white blood cells go to the thymus for reprogramming. The best way to reprogram your immune system is by balancing your hypothalamus.

Of course, every health concern goes back to your hypothalamus because it controls your immune system. It controls your day-night cycles and when your immune system turns on. So balancing your hypothalamus with Genesis Gold® will help to reprogram your immune system. There are also thymus glandulars to help to boost your thymus activity. But that does not necessarily reprogram the immune system. The programming comes in the hormonal communication between the hypothalamus and the thymus to tell the T-cells to go after others and not you.
