If you follow these three easy steps, you’ll get your thyroid back in balance.
Step #1: Get Your Gut Healthy To Heal Your Thyroiditis
You really are what you eat. Your hormone production including your thyroid hormone is affected by whether you are absorbing the nutrients from your foods.
If your intestine is inflamed, it will cause a systemic inflammatory reaction that affects the rest of your body. The issue could be an infection, toxins, food allergies, lack of friendly intestinal bacteria – no matter the source, it can slip through the transpermeable membrane of the intestines into your blood and create havoc for the rest of your body.
In what way?
Your immune system goes into hyper-alert and over responds to your already inflamed thyroid causing even more inflammation.
So to help heal your inflamed thyroid, you need to focus on your gut health. Eradicate infection, repair intestinal lining, replenish normal gut flora. I can show you if you join my Hormone Reboot Training.
Remember thyroiditis occurs when your immune system attacks your own thyroid causing inflammation and interfering within normal thyroid hormone production.
Step #2 Support Your Thyroid Hormone Production
When your thyroid is sick and inflamed, it has trouble producing enough thyroid hormone to keep your metabolism running. You feel tired, sluggish, cold, puffy. It’s not good.
You may need to take natural thyroid replacement therapy for a little while. Think of taking thyroid hormone like wearing a brace after you sprain your ankle. It’s just support until you can make your own thyroid hormones. It’s important to give your body what it needs to make its own thyroid hormone like iodine-rich seaweed, fish, yogurt, eggs, and proteins rich in tyrosine like chicken, turkey, cheese, peanuts, almonds, and pumpkin seeds.
Step #3: Regulate Your Immune System by Supporting Your Hypothalamus
Remember thyroiditis occurs when your immune system attacks your own thyroid causing inflammation and interfering within normal thyroid hormone production.
Your immune system is regulated by your hypothalamus. In fact your hypothalamus controls all your hormones, immune factors, and neurotransmitters. It’s like a teacher in an overcrowded classroom trying to deal with one needy student and then the other students start acting up.
When your hypothalamus has to focus on your low thyroid hormone production, it’s not able to keep your immune system from acting up. You can help your hypothalamus by getting enough sleep in the dark, by eating a well balanced organic diet, and by giving it amino acids specifically designed to support optimal hypothalamic function like those in Genesis Gold®.
