A tiny organ in your brain called your hypothalamus controls your appetite. But did you know that heat affects your hypothalamic appetite control? A recent study showed that when your body temperature rises, your appetite is suppressed which can help you lose weight.

Here are some natural ways to suppress your appetite to help you lose weight.

#1: Aerobic Exercise

Yep! All you have to do is exercise! Vigorous aerobic exercise elevates your core temperature which suppresses your appetite for up to twelve hours. You must exercise for at least a half-hour as it takes twenty minutes to raise your core temperature.

Try to get your heart rate up to your aerobic capacity which is 60-80% of your maximum heart rate. A simple way to calculate your maximum heart rate is: subtract your age from 220. If you’re 50 yrs old then your max heart rate is 170 so you need to get your heart rate up to at least 120 for at least 30 minutes.

Running, cycling, swimming, rowing, cross country skiing are great aerobic activities. High-intensity training with interval bursts of speed is also an effective way to raise your body temperature and suppress your appetite. Get in shape even faster by exercising first thing in the morning to maximize your metabolism and burn fat.

#2: Eat Hot Peppers

Did you know that eating hot pepper also suppresses your appetite? Yes, research shows that capsaicin, the active ingredient in hot peppers that makes your tongue burn, tricks your hypothalamus into believing your core temperature is elevated. Eating hot peppers before meals can reduce your food intake. Your tongue must feel the heat to signal appetite suppression by your hypothalamus. The effect of capsaicin is immediate but doesn’t last long.

Pepper sauce, seed pepper, even raw hot peppers will do the trick. There’s more capsaicin in the white membrane than the seeds or flesh of peppers. Be sure not to touch your eyes or genitals after handling hot peppers. Wash your hands with oil to negate the effect of capsaicin. If the heat is too intense, eat a little fat like avocado.

So spice up your life with hot pepper to suppress your appetite and help you lose weight.

#3: Support Your Hypothalamus

The master hypothalamic hormone, proopiomelanocortin (or POMC), controls your food intake and your metabolism. POMC directly stimulates your pituitary gland to optimize your thyroid function which controls how fast you burn energy. POMC also controls your adrenal cortisol production which controls whether you use sugar for energy or store it in your fat cells. It also controls your appetite especially your carbohydrate intake. The study showed that heat whether from exercise or capsaicin raises POMC. But you can only exercise so much, and you can’t survive on a diet of hot peppers.

You can maintain a higher metabolism and lower food intake if you support your hypothalamic production of POMC. Genesis Gold is formulated to optimize hypothalamic POMC. The phytonutrients and amino acids in Genesis Gold helps you raise mitochondrial production of energy and burn body fat.

Now you know how to suppress your appetite yet it’s not easy to lose fat if the rest of your hormones are out of balance. So I created the Hormone Reboot Training for you to discover how to balance hypothalamus and all your hormones naturally. It’s free!
