I’m on Genesis Gold® and have bowel movements every day. But it took 2-3 days to see pink in my stool after the beet test?
You need a colon cleanse. What that means is that in spite of the fact that you are having bowel movements, you are way behind. It is like being behind in paying your bills and now you’re in debt. The lining of your gut probably has stool within it like a plugged pipe that you poured grease down and now the drain is not working properly.
So you need to do a colon cleanse. I will use colon cleansers that are usually in a mix with a little psyllium, sometimes with a stimulant laxative in it like senna or cascara, different cleansers like walnut hulls and cinnamon. There’s a lot of colon cleanses out there.
I am not actually recommending a particular one but honestly those of us who tend towards constipation it is not a bad idea to do a colon cleanse at least a couple of times a year for a few days, three to four days up to 7 days until your bowels are moving so well that it looks like you just defecated out straw because the psyllium is coming back out again. Even though you’re having a bowel movement daily, if it is not a big long bowel movement that you can actually see the fiber in the stool, then you probably are not completely cleaned out.
During the cleanse, it may take a few days to see the straw like psyllium in your stool. In the beginning, the stools may be very small, ribbony, or pebbly. Eventually, they become wider in diameter as the lining of your intestine is dumping all of that debris. It’s not going to be so huge you can’t pass it, but it should be fairly large in diameter and also longer. It may even have a curve, looking much like an S. A healthy stool will actually have a shape too like a snake because that is what the lining of your gut looks like.
